The Malati sideboard from OTTO home is made from FSC-certified mango wood and was crafted in small workshops in India. The doors and drawers carry ornaments, and the handles have a slightly nostalgic look. Behind the doors and in the drawers you get plenty of storage, with closed compartments that hide the contents. At 179 cm wide it works as a single piece on a longer wall, arrives assembled and is sold and shipped by OTTO.

Most buyers love this sideboard and praise the solid construction, plenty of storage space, and the beautiful design, which often looks even better than in the photos. A few mention a slight color difference from the pictures (a bit lighter or more yellow), but it barely bothered them. One buyer, however, had woodworm infestation twice, which is a clear outlier among the otherwise positive reviews.

In buyers' words

Beautiful piece of furniture
I've had my sideboard for 2 weeks now and can't stop looking at it. I received the same sideboard 4 weeks earlier. Unfortunately I had to return it because it had two defects. Otto replaced the sideboard without any fuss. …

Critical review
Woodworm infestation
The 1st cabinet After 10 months I discovered wood dust while cleaning, wiped it away and didn't think much of it until I saw the next little pile. Since I didn't know anything about such "worms" I started researching online, because I was already getting annoyed by the recurring mess. When I asked acquaintances about it, I heard "woodworm"! Great, I thought, you want something nice and you bring pests into your home. Called customer service, after several home visits, the worm infestation was confirmed! Cabinet replaced! 2nd cabinet Now after 9 months with the replaced cabinet, the same problem! But because I complained and asked for pickup, since I have no interest in another replacement, now apparently it's my fault! I should have noticed the worm infestation! Sorry but these worms didn't introduce themselves!
